Building Bridges (B2) is a collaborative homeless resource center located in Ukiah designed to provide housing related services and safe shelter to people experiencing a housing crisis. Services are provided through a partnership of multiple community agencies. B2 operates from a low barrier perspective, minimizing barriers to services and shelter. B2 contains a day drop-in center, emergency shelter, and plans to develop on-site housing and other resources. The Day Center will provide resources such as showers, restrooms, laundry; computers, internet access, charging station; mailing address, phone, & messaging center; connection to medical and other community services; linkage to mainstream resources such as CalFresh and CalWorks; peer support; groups, classes, workshops; community service opportunities; and a donation-based resource closet. The nighttime shelter prioritizes shelter beds for people most vulnerable and at risk on the street.

Madrone House is a 6-bed therapeutic crisis respite program. Madrone House is a unique short-term program for adults aged 18 and older who are experiencing a mental health crisis requiring 24-hour supervision but does not meet criteria for in-patient hospitalization. Madrone house provides housing in collaboration with Adventist Health hospitals for identified patients who meet criteria for medical respite as they access services needed for their journey back into the community. This program serves adults who are being served by RCS Crisis services in Mendocino County providing an opportunity for recovery and transition back to their community after experiencing a mental health or medical crisis

NCCM’s goal is to lend a hand up, not a handout. They help connect the at-risk population with resources to help them get off the streets and into a productive lifestyle. They provide them with the basics like food, clothing, and even a warm shower if that’s what they need. In addition, they assist with directing individuals to services that help them secure a job, housing, healthcare, and many other necessities.

Redwood Community Crisis Services provides a 24/7 toll free number (855)838-0404 for anyone in Mendocino County experiencing a mental health emergency. Certified trained staff provide crisis intervention services throughout Mendocino County. Initial crisis intervention services include assessment, diagnosis, and risk assessment as well as safety planning and treatment planning for future mental health needs.

Redwood Quality Management Company is the Administrative Service Organization for Mendocino County, providing management and oversight of specialty mental health, community service support, prevention, and early intervention services. The following data is reported by age range, along with a total for the system of care (either youth or adult) as well as the overall RQMC total. This will assist in interpreting how different demographics are accessing services, as well as assist in providing an overall picture of access and service by county contract (youth, young adult and adult).
